Eleven years ago, I was rushing to the hospital where your mother would give birth to you, and a wise man said I was about to learn what True Love really was.
Looking back, January 26th already feels a long time ago.
Still, this was the date we arrived to San Diego. Our longest and possibly most important stay on this journey so far.
And it was not just boat projects that kept us busy.
The fact is, as we multitasked across a multitude of things, we were just not ready yet to leave that place.
As expected and planned, San Diego has been the base for a number of boat projects – basically maintenance, improvements and a compulsive stocking of spare parts and provisions.
As soon as we got here, we put ourselves (and the credit card) to work, and multiple activities started to move in parallel.
But as the work and spare parts and provisions (and invoices) piled up, I couldn’t help asking myself … are we ready yet?
Oh yeah … we went farmin’ !

Living in a boat, most of our time is spent at or very near the shoreline, which I find natural and is far from being a problem.
There have been exceptions to it along the way though, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our excursions further inland.
Yesterday we had one of these, as we had the opportunity to visit the Mission Trails Regional Park.
