In fine company

For the last couple of weeks, we have been moored at the excellent Shelter Island Marina here in San Diego.

The slip that was available when we got here lie in the super yacht dock.

And so, Pesto has been in very fine company since.

Every day an army of people will come and do a variety of services on these yachts. From mechanical work to the constant cleaning and shining. Workers and crew will come early in the morning, and work hard until well after dusk, 6 days a week. It’s amusing.

Equally amusing must be the checks required to keep these small economies working month in, month out.

Boys and their toys …
