I had to check a few things at the Marina Office, which is at the opposite end of the basin. It’s a good 1/2 mile walk, back and forth.
The day was beautiful outside, so I invited the kids to go with me – to which they immediately opposed.
I suggested they go with their skateboards, but still faced opposition.
So I played a trick on them. Or so I thought.
I told them that I would only accept their declining my invitation if they did a few pushups instead. I was kidding.
But then they asked: “how many?”.
“hmmm … 78. Each” I replied – pushing the number way up so that they took the original offer. It seemed my strategy was working.
It wasn’t: “we’ll do the pushups” was the reply, and they immediately left the cabin and started paying the pushups. Playfully.

78 pushups for a 1/2 hr, 15 minute skate ride along the marina’s perfect cement boardwalk? Really?

Adolescência??? 🙂 🙂 🙂
