San Francisco Days: eating Crab and dodging Zombies
On the same day we visited the exhibits at the San Francisco Maritime Historic Museum, we also took time to check on Pier 39 and its attractions. As touristy as it is, it provided for a fun-filled afternoon to all of us.
We first made a stop at Joe’s Crab Shack – we were starving after the visits to Eureka and BalcluthaThe Fisherman’s Wharf, as seen from the restaurant.
At Pier 39 … one of the attractions was the Musical Stairs. Each step being a piano’s key, activated by motion censors. The kids spent a loooong time playing with it.Enjoying the view of the Marina …… and the surroundings, which include Alcatraz Island, with Sausalito on the background …… and the Golden Gate bridgeThen we went to the Hall of Mirrors – such a simple and “vintage” concept, and yet still a lot of fun. After that, it was time for the bungee trampoline for Paulo …… and RaquelFrom there, we all went to shoot some zombies at the “7D Experience”. Essentially a 3D cinema with laser guns. I challenged Paulo that I would win. Look what happened. At dusk, with it’s lights on, Pier 39 is quite pretty.A strategic stop on the way out.SF at night.
