The tricks of the trade

We have spent the last few days tied to a dock.

The dock floats on water.

There is no fence between the dock and the water.

The kids have been skateboarding on the dock.

Well, that pretty much paints the picture, doesn’t it?

Paulo’s skateboard fell on the water and … sank ?!? Luckily the skateboarder remained on the dock, albeit a bit bruised.

The kids shared their misfortune with some cool folks on the dock. Some of whom suggested we found a large magnet to “fish” the skateboard out of the water. They came back to Pesto and mentioned the idea to us. We had someone on board helping fix an electrical problem. And he said he happened to have a large magnet on his van’s trunk. Ha !

Guess what we spent doing that afternoon:

A whole new category of fishing to us

Eventually, loops, the magnet felt heavier. We had "hooked" something!

This catch ain't good for eating. But boy did the crew get happy with it!

And there will be a lot more skateboarding this weekend!

Have a great one 🙂
