LET’S LOG SOME MILES, BABY!

Road miles, that is … but how come a liveaboard sailing journey be starting on the tarmac?

Well, the thing is, I’m in Miami and Pesto is in Seattle … and that will be the subject of a different post.
Pesto can’t come to us by herself, so we go to her instead.
The last few weeks we transformed our Home into a massive pile of Stuff, which was then depurated into belongings that went to storage, and the things we will need while living aboard. And I am taking the latter with me in the car.
The funny thing is, this road trip is just one of the many activities we listed down on our project plan. And yet, it granted me instantaneous fame two weeks ago, when I took the car to the dealer for a pre-trip checkup and told them I was going to drive it 3,300 miles to Seattle.
Today was a quite productive day … almost 900 miles, leaving Florida, Alabama and Mississipi behind.
