… because there's so much discovery in the Journey
After moving our belongings from Pesto, having her out of the water and ready for maintenance work, and letting my emotions out , I flew to Christchurch to meet Adriana et al, who were on the way for our second road trip of the South Island.
<Edited Jul/2019: I found this post in draft format when I came back to managing the site recently. I had written it one year ago, when I was finishing moving our belongings out of Pesto. I believe I may have sent it privately to Adriana, Paulo and Raquel – but we were all in such a whirlwind of emotions then. Moreover, since all content of the site went back “live”, I think this is where this one story belongs as well. After all, every single word here is and will be forever alive>

Before we embarked on this Journey, and as I thought of it, what came to imagination were pristine anchorages, epic offshore passages, adventure.
It all happened.
And then, there was something else …
While we were in Makemo, a small school of Remoras chose Pesto as their shelter (and source of food). The kids embraced them wholeheartedly. Follows a (very) short video I took of them one day:

As much as it bothers me that our kids still play video games while we cruise, I do find comfort in that they are using part of it – their gizmos, the gaming platforms, our precious little bandwidth – to keep their network, their Social Network that is, fresh and active.
