It was still spring of 2015, we were cruising the Sea of Cortez in Mexico, when a tropical storm was forecast to develop into a hurricane and track right above us, one week later. It was so early in the season, and this was just the second named storm of the year. Luckily we were in good shelter and decided to weather the storm there.
The storm did develop into a large hurricane, but much to our relief it downgraded quickly as it landed on the outer side of the Peninsula. It did, however, pass very close to us as a Tropical Depression.
These posts were written as we got ready for it, the last one being a recap after the experience.
